Fantastic Four: First Steps? Superman? Nope – the most anticipated movie release of summer 2025 is probably not what you're thinking

Fantastic Four: First Steps? Superman? Nope – the most anticipated movie release of summer 2025 is probably not what you're thinking

I’ll allow you to in on a bit “behind the scenes” motion right here at Popverse – although it’s nonetheless months away, we’re actively making ready for July 2025 in motion pictures. That’s as a result of each DC Studios’ Superman and Marvel Studios’ Fantastic 4: First Steps, two motion pictures that goal to revitalize superhero motion pictures through the use of the respective manufacturers’ most iconic characters, are popping out per week aside from one another. However after a current report, we’re scratching our heads – it appears like neither movie is America’s most anticipated of 2025.

No, that honor belongs to Jurassic World Rebirth.

This is in keeping with a Fandango study revealed March 25, 2025. Having interviewed over 5,000 contributors, starting from loyal to informal moviegoers, Fandango discovered that the Scarlett Johansson starring return to the Jurassic World franchise tops folks’s record of the most anticipated. Fantastic 4 comes shut at #2, and James Gunn’s Superman finds itself punching up at #4.

Since we all know you’re curious, right here’s the record in descending order:

  1. Jurassic World Rebirth
  2. The Fantastic 4: First Steps
  3. Mission: Inconceivable – The Closing Reckoning
  4. Superman
  5. Thunderbolts*
  6. From The World of John Wick: Ballerina
  7. 28 Years Laters
  8. Learn how to Prepare Your Dragon
  9. Lilo & Sew
  10. Freakier Friday

Proud as I’m of zombie flick 28 Years Later scoring that #7 spot (and perhaps much more proud of Freakier Friday for making it on in any respect? The Lohanaissance lives, of us), I’ll admit this is not how I used to be anticipating to to see this record shake out. Don’t get me mistaken, I’m thrilled for a more moderen, grosser batch of dinosaurs, it’s boggling my thoughts a bit that Web boyfriend Pedro Pascal’s entry into the MCU didn’t snag #1.

No offense to new Man of Metal David Corenswet; it’s simply that he didn’t flirt with Meryl Streep at the SNL 50th.

Superman flies into theaters July 11, adopted by Fantastic 4 July 25. Jurassic World Rebirth (the one which issues, apparently) comes out July 2.
